The International Experimental Cinema Exposition, 2008 Paonia
October 23rd - 26th

We are proud to have been selected for the TIE International Experimental Cinema Exposition 2008. This event presents the art of experimental film and brings people together for four days of screenings, discussions, workshops, installations and social gatherings. All work is done with celluloid film and is projected mechanically rather than digitally. Our ability to exhibit film, to archive and broadcast the event as well as to offer a unique stay for a group of visiting directors and curators made Paonia the a perfect fit for this year's festival.
Join us for an excellent, international event which will bring this type of filmmaking into the valley and showcase our community's hospitality and dedication to the arts.

About TIE
TIE exists to illuminate experimental film of the highest caliber, as well as join, recognize and serve filmmakers dedicated to the art and experimentation of the celluloid motion picture. TIE was founded in 1999 to preserve cinema and its exhibition form. The decision to screen experimental films was based on the idea that these motion pictures illuminate the truest form of cinema possible. For two years, TIE took place as an annual event in Telluride, joining more than 120 of the world's most influential avant-garde filmmakers. In 2002, TIE relocated to Colorado's Pikes Peak region. Since the festival's inception, it has screened more than 500 innovative historic and contemporary films. TIE is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.
